This is the race we have all been waiting for: race single handed out of Redondo Beach. This is my favourite. Tracey, Nik and I have done this race multiple times and you MUST participate. This is also the last race in our high point series, so the last chance you'll have to get points and score well overall.
USA 169 and USA 275 are fighting for 1st place overall....so there will be a battle on the water. To win, USA 169 needs to finish just behind USA 275, regardless where USA 275 finishes. Talk about match racing!!
This race is out of Redondo Beach. We need to leave the dock early because MDR will be closed that day for a swimming competition.
We can sail or motor, head directly to Redondo and practice.
The race is extremely simple. It's a buoy race. If the wind permits, the race will be W/L/W, reach to a mark, the reach to the finish. We will be done by 3pm at the very latest, back at the dock in MDR not later than 4pm.
Again, this is a must. you will really enjoy racing your boat single handed. The Open Sailing Rib will also be on the water for support, photos, video and emergency if needed.
The NOR are posted on the Redondo Beach YC website at:
