This Open 5.70 was delivered to Ridgeland, MS in June 2007. This is hull # 209. This rubis red Open 5.70 has only been sailed in fresh water and, when delivered, had an epoxy barrier with a racing anti-fouling Vivid white paint.
In May 2009, the boat was taken to the boat yard for a make-over: anti-fouling paint and epoxy primer have been removed and replaced with new primer (2 coats) and alwgrip gray paint (2 coats). Keel and rudders have also been sanded down and repainted with the same attention details than the hull. The hull has been wet sanded with 2000 sand-paper, buffed and waxed.
USA 209 simply looks brand new!!
The boat is now located in Los Angeles, CA where there's already a strong Open 5.70 One Design established class racing and playing around.
Sails are still in racing shape:
Mylar full battened square top main sail.
Mylar furling jib.
Asymetrical Spinnaker.
"Pirouette" is in excellent condition and has been overhauled by Open Sailing.
This Open 570 is also very well priced considering all the options included with the boat. This Open 570 is a great deal, at about 28% less than a new boat with the same options.
