USA 279 came out of the factory and was delivered in August 2009.
Unfortunately, the new owner can not find the time to sail her boat. As a result, USA 279 has only sailed ONCE. In other words, the boat is considered NEW...
However, the owner is motivated to let her boat go, which explains this very attractive selling price.
The boat as an orange pastel colored hull, a white vivid bottom paint, wind indicator, padded sleeves for the rudders, jib cover and Tacktick Micro Compass (T060) with a carbon fiber mounting bracket.
Sails are new, of course. The white spinnaker still has that "crispy" feel.
Main Sail carries the one design legal sail numbers (USA 279).
The boat was sold without a trailer. Slip can be transferred to the new owner (who will be sharing the cost with the other Open 5.70 in the same slip, USA 274), or purchasing a new trailer from Open Sailing is also an option. For dry storage, Open Sailing also offer to keep the boat on the dry for a very attractive monthly rent.
The owner paid about $35,000 for this boat. This is definitely a great deal. At this level, price is firm but this is a great opportunity to join a great growing, competitive and friendly One Design Racing Class in Southern California.
